It embeds Writerflow's approval workflow directly into Google Docs. You can assign reviewers, set deadlines, track status, and publish—all without leaving the document.
Click "Add to Google Workspace" in the Marketplace, grant the requested Google permissions, and the add‑on will appear in your Docs side panel. No separate Writerflow account? We'll spin up a free workspace during onboarding.
We request limited‑scope access to:
• Document metadata & comments – to track versions and inline feedback.
• Drive file IDs – to map Docs to the correct project in Writerflow.
• Email addresses – to send notifications to assigned approvers.
We never read or store your personal Drive files beyond the active documents you choose to sync.
Writing stays exactly the same. We simply add a workflow pane on the right for approvals, deadlines, and status. If a teammate doesn't install the add‑on, they'll still see comments and can be assigned by email.
Google handles editing well, but it doesn't give you:
